Blog 2018

You miss the Cantare feeling? You love to be on stage and perform music together with great people and can hardly wait until Easter 2020? Then have a look at Connect! Connect connects the arts, people and cultures. The project will take place in the summer of 2019 in Hamburg and is a subsidiary project of the Cantare project e.V. and the eurythmy projects "What moves you?" and "eurythmy in progress". Here, in addition to choir singers, eurythmy enthusiasts and orchestra musicians are being sought!

Two weeks full of music.

Meeting people from all parts of Europe.

Mastering the challenge of a demanding concert programme all together.

Creation and participation of workshops and other events.

Moving concert experiences and new friendships.

That is what Cantare means.

In 2018 two weeks of rehearsals and a diverse framework program took place. During the daily 6 to 7 hours choir and voice group rehearsals as well as professional phonation Stabat Mater by Karls Jenkins was prepared. Our artistic directors are quiet as young as you and full of enthusiasm for music. Young people from all over the world between the age of 16 and 25 years have participated. The official languages during the event were German and English.

The Projekt: Cantare was founded in 2010 by a Team of students. Since then it took place six times. With up to 120 participants works from classical music – with Mozarts Requiem – to mordern pieces – like John Rutters Magnificat – were performed. The organizing team is made up of other committed young people each year. Often former participants perform Cantare. During the meeting Voluteers will support the "Orga-Team".

Last year's organization team consisted of young people aged 15 and 23 from all over Germany. We study in a wide range of disciplines, from mechanical engineering and music management to bookbinder education or go to school. One thing connects us: the passion for Cantare and therefore the music!
